@Michael - I've tried all of the GTD habits, but some of them are just too cumbersome for me. I've worked hard on simplifying my life and reducing the amount of concurrent projects I'm working on. That has resulted in lists that are simply a lot (a lot!) shorter than they used to be when I first started GTD. But I'll definitely address the various parts in upcoming posts.

And I'll post some pictures of the result of the renovation too, as soon as the room is cleaned up a bit. Moving in gives a lot of mess, I used it as an an opportunity to simplify some more and to clean out archives.

@Jeroen - Oh boy, if all the err's and ehm's are in there it's going to be a tough read... I liked the interview, although some questions did grasp back on topics already discussed. But it did give me some new insights.

You're the first other blogger mentioning the University of Manchester research. I received the transcript last week, but only had a quick look at it. At first sight, I am ashamed about the number of 'err's. Next action: improve my speaking habits.
This week I will sit down and read the transcript more thoroughly.

Looking forward to hearing in your upcoming productivity posts. It would be really interesting to hear about which parts you've kept up and which you've decided aren't a fit for you.

Also are there any that maybe are a fit, but the habit just hasn't taken root yet. I find myself with systems like this circling back and often finding pieces I've let go and pick some of them back up again. Sometimes it takes a few rounds of that before they become more or less permanent habits. I'm intrigued by the way that our automatic, unconscious processes underlie much of the adoption of any new system like this.

Congrats on the renovation. Looks fantastic.
